The History of Stone Walls

After being brought to the U.S in the early 1700’s by immigrants from the British Isles, the walls quickly became popular in the region. From then on a variety of new styles were discovered and walls were built everywhere, in fact by 1939 it was estimated that there was more than 259,000 miles of stone wall in the Northeast!
