Our Landscaping Safety & Healthy Plan Details
We here at Gerbert & Sons Landscaping & Irrigation have you, our staff, and family in our thoughts. These are challenging times and we want to share with you some of the steps we have already implemented to ease your concerns as our teams come to work on your property.
Connecticut Governor Lamont has deemed our industry as essential services and we remain committed to serving you. Additionally, with such a mild winter, we may see an increase in pests and ticks and we are mindful of these concerns this year.
Social Distancing
We will speak with you prior to coming to your property to discuss any concerns and suggestions you have before our visit. If you or a member of your family is sick, we can discuss alternate timing or plans for the safety of all. When we arrive, if we do need to speak with you, we will maintain our safe distance (six feet) and will make sure we have confirmed your ideas and plans. Our workers have all attended our Safety & Healthy Plan Meeting and are aware this is key to keep us all healthy.
Wiping Down Contact Points
As we come on the property and begin our work, our staff is aware to minimize ‘contact points.’ We will make sure to wipe down anything that has been touched (hoses, gate latches, toys moved, etc.) If you have anything you are extremely concerned about, please share with the job foreman to insure complete compliance. Again, we are thinking of you and your health and safety.
The Health of Our Workers
We have set up a health protocol for all of our workers. During our Safety & Healthy Plan Meeting, we have instructed that if they or a loved one has contracted or has been in contact of a person with COVID-19, we are to be made aware and they will self-quarantine. Most of our workers have worked with us for over 10 years and are family to us. We are committed to making sure they work in a healthy environment and they know we care about them.
