Taking Care of Tree Roots
Did you know that cutting back the tree roots near to the surface as they grow can actually help both the tree and your lawn? The tree responds by growing deeper roots, anchoring itself farther into the water table, and creating an even stronger stand against the wind. And your lawn is able to absorb as much of the top-level water as possible, because it is no longer competing with the trees for it. Taking the time for routine maintenance like that can lower the amount of water you need to introduce into your irrigation system, since you’re maximizing what already occurs naturally!
